POLICE are hunting a would-be attacker who was scared off after being bitten by a dog in Colne town centre. A 42-year-old woman was walking her dogs along a back street on Skipton Road at 11-30 p.m., on Tuesday, when she was confronted. The man, who was wearing a black hooded top and black trousers, approached the woman and pulled her back by her pony tail before grabbing her around her waist. Before he could cause any harm, one of the dogs jumped up and bit him on the hand, causing him to scream and run off.
It is sad how we always hear about dog attacks in the news, but stories like this barely make it at all.
I have talked to numerous people who have told me stories of how their dogs have run off, knocked down or bitten intruders and attackers.
