Fresno city dog owners will have to decide whether to spay or pay. That's just one of three ordinances passed by the city council. The first affects all city dog owners — either have your dog fixed or pay higher licensing fees.
Do you really think people are going to pay these stupid fees? No way. Most will just not license their dogs. Dog licensing is a stupid idea and the practice should be outlawed. It doesn’t make any of us safer. It is just a way to fund a useless bureaucracy. Do you disagree? Then tell me how it makes dogs safer. Tell me how it makes breeders breed better dogs. Tell me how it makes dog owners spend more money and time socializing, training, supervising and containing their dogs. It doesn't. It is just a jobs program for animal control personnel.
