More and more homeowners are shocked when they discover their insurance carriers aren't renewing their policies simply because of the type of dog they own.
This is a major problem. We need laws to prevent this. I have written on this before. If we lived in a “free market” system, then I wouldn’t oppose this kind of thing. But, we don’t. When regulations force abominable levels of insurance coverage and unfair liability on dog owners, then we need counterbalancing legislation that prevents insurers from not insuring dogs.
