New Dog Park In Montgomery, Ohio

MONTGOMERY - Pioneer Park is going to the dogs. Montgomery city officials have joined a host of Greater Cincinnati cities making space for park lovers' four-legged friends. Council approved a $40,000 dog park project in its five-year capital improvement budget Wednesday.

Cities are starting to wise up. You need to set aside part of your public areas for dogs. The dogs need the space, the parks are an amenity which cause people to want to move to that city, the parks provide necessary socialization experiences and exercise for many dogs, they are social gathering spots for people, and dog parks help drive crime away from that area of town.
