It Is The Year Of The Dog

People should watch out for dogs in the Year of the Dog so as not to be bitten by them or punished for abuse of them.

Dogs as pets are expected to be more popular this year, but the public are advised to remember that mistreatment of the animal, ``man’s best friend,’’ will lead to civil or criminal charges.

It’s the YEAR OF THE DOG.

I once had a customer, who was from Hong Kong, who owned 7 dogs because she believed that “7” was a lucky number. The dogs weren’t socialized, were biters, and were abused by her older son.

It is not a good idea to get a dog just to fulfill some kind of social custom. You’ll end up hating the dog, because you got it for the wrong reasons, and you’ll end up getting rid of it, or it will end up abused or neglected by you or your family members.

Celebrate the season, but don’t get a dog, OK?
